Toronto, June 18, 2010 – Alturas Minerals Corp. (the “Company” or “Alturas”) (TSX-V, BVL: ALT) announces that its annual general meeting of shareholders was held on June 17, 2010.

Shareholders elected Augusto Baertl, Miguel Cardozo, Roland Eschle, Walter Henry, Paul Pearson and Kathleen Skerrett as directors.

Ms. Skerrett is a new addition to the board and is corporate counsel for Alturas.  Ms Skerrett is a partner with the law firm of Gardiner Roberts LLP in Toronto.  She has been practicing in the fields of corporate and securities law since being called to the bar in the Province of Ontario in 1996 with a focus on junior resource companies. 

Shareholders also approved the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the auditors of the Corporation for the coming year and ratified the Corporation’s stock option plan.
